Getting Photos From the Field Without a Login
Most of the photos that end up in a post don't come from whoever has a CMS login — they come from whoever happened to be standing there with a phone. Making that person create an account first is exactly the kind of friction that means the photos never make it in at all.
The fix here is a snippet called Upload links (Settings → Snippets → Upload links). Creating one gives you:
- A name — something dated and specific, like "Product shoot — March 2026" — which also becomes the name of a Collection in the image library, so everything from one shoot lands in one place automatically.
- A token, forming the link itself (
/blog/upload/<token>/). It's long and random rather than guessable — not a PIN, by design. Anyone with the link can upload; rotate the token to kill a leaked link instantly without losing photos already received.
The page that link opens is a plain, mobile-friendly form: pick photos, optionally give a name for credit, submit. Uploaded photos show up under Images, filtered to that visit's Collection, exactly like anything else in the library — recategorize, rename, or delete them there like normal. There's no separate moderation queue; browsing the Collection is the review step.
